Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

Okay, so for those of you who know me you need to sit down before you read on.

Yesterday, we drove up to Preston, Idaho to look at some darling lab puppies. This was the mom's 1st litter -- a litter of 10 puppies! There are white, yellow and chocolate puppies. So now it is decision making time. Is a puppy right for us? I have never had a dog. Actually, I don't even consider myself an "animal" person. But of course after holding these cute little puppies, the boys can't stop talking about them. Are we crazy to consider adding one to our family? What are your thoughts?

And The Tradition Begins...

In celebration of Thanksgiving, the boys organized the First Annual Neighborhood Turkey Bowl with some friends at our neighborhood park this morning. Matt was the quarterback for both teams (in hopes to relieve that machismo tension that is ever present when football is played.)

Final Score: 49-49 (ends in a tie, wheew)

Give Thanks

Here is our family turkey posted prominently on our fridge. Each of us wrote something we were thankful for on a turkey feather and look at our fabulous turkey. Jonah was especially cute when he commented he could go on forever. Some of our blessings include chocolate (Sam), trampoline (Jonah) and sports (Josh).

Mama Mia

After attending a bread making class last night, I decided to make homemade pizza for dinner tonight. (Yes, it was a whole wheat bread class but alas it was not whole wheat pizza.)

Josh will explain how we made the pizza ..."you get a rolling thing and then you roll the dough. After that, you sprinkle stuff on it. You put the pizza sauce on the pizza. Then you put the pepperoni's on and then canadian bacon. And then we put cheese on it. And then we put it in the oven and cooked it. We cooked for 12 minutes. And then when it was done, we ate it."

Here are pictures of their masterpiece pizzas. They were yummy. Josh commented that we should make these all the time instead of ordering the pizza.

Utes beat Cougars - All is well!

Last night we attended the University of Utah Women's Volleyball match against BYU. We all wore our Utah shirts and went ready to cheer. Andy saved us seats -- the Crimson Court was packed!

The match was a close one -- at the end of 3 games BYU was up 2 to 1. The Utes pulled off a win in game 4 to go into a game 5. In game 5 they only go up to 15 which makes every point extremely important! Kat was AWESOME! She made the kill to win the game!!! We had a blast. All we can hope for now is the same outcome at next week's U vs. BYU football game. GO UTES!!! Here's a picture of Kat in action (thanks to Joe & Denise)

Penguin Discovery

Today the boys discovered a fun new game on the internet (http://www.clubpenguin.com/). They have played it pretty much all day. Yep, they are addicted!

Matt set up the laptop so they could continue to play the game late into the night (9:57 pm to be exact). Good luck getting to church on time at 9 am tomorrow morning!

Halloween was great this year. The weather was perfect and the day after was a day off of school. Check out this year's asssortment of costumes.

Double Digits

WOW!!! 1-0-

That's the word that came to mind when November 6, 2008 rolled around at our home. Yep, you guessed it, Sam celebrated his tenth birthday!!!

Instead of a party, Sam chose to go on a trip with his dad. Thanks to his Uncle Jeff & Aunt Robin, he was able to attend the Monday Night Football Game -- Redskins vs. Steelers.

The Redskins lost, but Sam said it was incredible. He couldn't believe he was at an NFL game! He commented that he had the best nachos he'd ever had at the game. So I guess if you are headed to a Redskins game, don't pass up the nachos.

While in the Washington, DC area, they took a "3-hour tour". (Luckily the weather wasn't getting rough, for all you Gilligan's Island junkies.) When they arrived at the tour bus, they were informed they were the only ones who had signed up for the afternoon tour. So they had their own private tour!!! Sam was very brave. He flew home from Baltimore, MD all by himself. When I picked him up from the airport he gave me a huge bear hug...I thought he'd never let go. It was GREAT to have him home!

Jonah was invited by his friend Cade to attend a Real Salt Lake Playoff game where he would escort a Real player onto the field before the game. It was really exciting!

To his surprise, his cousin Ellen was also an escort. Josh and I went to the game with him. They ate hotdogs, Sprite and of course nachos!

Real beat Chivas 1-0.

Jonah's Baptism Day

On November 1st, Jonah was baptized! It was a very special day. Jonah was baptized and confirmed by his dad in the morning. It was super to have his grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins and friends there to support him!

After the baptism, we had a pizza lunch and chocolate fountain dessert. We all celebrated Jonah's decision to be baptized!

It's GREAT to be 8

It's difficult to believe that this little "middle monkey" has turned 8!

To celebrate, Jonah had a birthday party with lots of friends. Matt was the entertainment director (of course). The kids were divided up into teams and they competed in an obstacle course race, football toss

and infamous eating without your hands contest.

It was CRAZY fun, to say the least!!!

The Beginning

Since I have slowly but surely become a slacker at keeping a scrapbook/ journal, I thought I'd start this blog to keep track of the happenings of me and my family of 4 boys. (Yep, one of those boys happens to be my cute hubby, Matt.)
