Jonah's baseball team played in a tournament in Salem, UT Friday & Saturday. Jonah played the game of his life on Friday. His coach said he was the MVP of the game and gave him the game ball! Jonah was beyond thrilled!
Sam's football team won their game 27-0 against Syracuse Silver. Matt said his team looked so good. This was the first game of the season that counts towards their record so Sam felt great!
Josh's football team played well too. They beat Layton Red 26-6 on Layton's home field. There was a Layton player that was about 1 1/2 heads taller than Josh. It took more than one to get him down and Josh was one of them!
(Unfortunately, no pics this week of Sam or Josh--with 3 boys playing on Saturdays, we have to split up for the games so hopefully next week I'll add a great pictures.)
Jonah's baseball team made it to the semi-finals so we headed back down to Spanish Fork at 6:45 am -- bright and early Monday morning. The whole family made the trek this time. Sam and Josh said they wanted to support their brother, but I think their main reason for going was to stop at Dickey's BBQ on the way home. We had brisket, ribs, onion tanglers, augratin potatoes, cole slaw & rolls. We were so entranced with the food, we forgot to take a picture. Next time, for sure!
Happy Labor Day!
